Labour & Employment Law · Cape Town

Personal legal solutions,
built to hold up in court.

A boutique labour and employment law practice combining the rigour of a litigator with the practicality of an HR professional — clear advice, defensible decisions, and representation when it matters most.

Professional. Personal. Practical.

The Dual-Lens Approach

Legal rigour meets workplace pragmatism.

Most disputes are won or lost long before they reach the CCMA or the Labour Court — in how a policy was drafted, how an investigation was run, and how a hearing was chaired. Drawing on over two decades across private legal practice, human resources, and senior public-sector administration, I work across that whole arc.

Policies are drafted with the foresight of a litigator; litigation is handled with the pragmatism of an HR manager. The result is strategic risk management that is legally sound, practically implementable, and defensible in court.

The Unique Advisory Lens

Three disciplines, one strategy

Private legal practice — litigation, merit evaluations, High Court & Labour Court pleadings, CCMA advocacy.

Human resources & labour relations — workplace dynamics, progressive discipline, capacity building (SABPP-registered HR professional).

Public sector & administration — governance, and large-scale policy drafting, drawn from senior Western Cape Government experience.

About

Christo Muller

Christo Muller

An admitted attorney with over twenty years' integrated experience across private legal practice, human resources, and senior public-sector administration. Christo combines the rigour of a litigator with the practicality of a registered HR professional — an unusual pairing that allows him to draft policies with litigation in mind, and to run disputes with operational reality in mind.

In private practice he handles High Court and Labour Court pleadings and appearances, CCMA conciliations and arbitrations, disciplinary hearings, and formal merit evaluations. As a SABPP-registered HR professional he advises on progressive discipline, misconduct investigations, and capacity building. And as a former Assistant Director and Deputy Director in the Western Cape Government, he brings first-hand experience of governance, and large-scale policy drafting.

His approach is deliberately plain-spoken: authoritative without being academic, focused on practical outcomes rather than legal theatre, and always mindful of how today's decision will read in tomorrow's hearing.
